bargaining agreement. the longest in nfl history. starting tonight in baltimore, replacement refs will no longer officiate nfl games. roger goodell temporarily lifted the lockout but officials will still meet on friday and saturday to vote on the agreement. goodell had this to say about ending the lockout. and west. we're quiet right now. a couple sprinkles north of baltimore. a few showers in western maryland. this is associate wade weak cold front. so weak, it won't really make it through the area. behind this front, as it pushes south and ea a little later this afternoon, there is some slightly drier air. you may notice the humidity waning just a little bit later on today. a series of cold frontss. we will gradually improve things around here over the next couple of days. this is sort of the first hit it was later this afternoon. so things will get better around here, gradually dry out and eventually cool down as we get into the weekend. here is your futurecast. put it in motion for you. you can see the cold front come through during the morning hours. here we are at 9:00 a.m. with a few showers around. be ready for a couple of showers particularly the first half of the day. later this afternoon, we could fire up a thunderstorm. north and west, i think you'll get enough of that drier air that you should generally be on the dry side later today. 87 today. palestinian leader yasser arafat

to buoy, maryland, it's 59, 60 in baltimore, 50 already in gaithersburg. if you're a redskins fan, you know this game is in tampa tomorrow. i couldn't ignore the redskins forecast against the buccaneers. it's a 4:00 to 7:00 game tomorrow in tampa. highs down there tomorrow, upper 80s to near 90 degrees. all that training camp weather is waiting for them down there in florida. here it is on storm 4 radar. not a lot going on close to us. there are rainshowers here just to the east of downtown smartsville. they're going eastbound. traveling south on i-95 from fredericksburg to richmond. there will be late night rainshowers on the interstate. and steadier rains across eastern carolina and eastern virginia. those won't be bothering us. there's a system generating rainshowers in western pennsylvania. that we need to keep an eye on for tomorrow. that pinwheels around a large trough in the atmosphere. it may be able to ring out one or two quick little showers tomorrow. here we are stopped at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. mid to late afternoon, that little chance gliding on by. anyone who gets rain

, we've got cool temperatures, 61 at gaithersburg. 63 at baltimore. 62 at dulles. we're feeling that fall chill out there. we're not alone. take a look at this, across areas of the dakotas, 36 degrees right now, unbelievable, 37 in areas of the northern plains. so that's a pretty good indication of the cooler air that's really settling in. we're going to get a gradual warmup as we move through the course of the week. northwesterly flow today, plenty of sunshine. ridge of high pressure in control. that's going to hold us into the week. much cooler, but we'll see plenty of sunshine. by midday today, 76 degrees, sunny and pleasant. and our high today is going to be 77 degrees. light northwesterly winds, as i mentioned. and sunny skies, dry and cooler. by tonight, we'll have temperatures into the 50s. that's going to be pretty much everywhere. our accuweather seven-day forecast, look at this run of sunshine. not bad at all. there is a chance, however, that we could see a spotty shower once we get into the weekend, saturday, maybe sunday, because of another frontal system coming thro
